About Me

I am an experienced and passionate secondary school English teacher, specialising in English Language and English Literature. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in English Literature and have consistently supported students in making strong academic progress.

During my teaching career, I contributed to my school being recognised as one of the top AQA-performing centres for GCSE English Language and Literature. I believe success in English comes from clear teaching, structured practice, and meaningful engagement with texts.

As an avid reader, my teaching focuses on making complex ideas accessible and helping students develop confidence in their interpretations and writing. Exam skills are broken down into manageable steps so students understand how to improve and can work independently.

Alongside classroom teaching, I have held leadership roles as KS3 English Coordinator and Literacy Coordinator. In these roles, I worked across Years 7–9 to strengthen reading, writing, and analytical skills and to design a curriculum that builds strong foundations for GCSE and A level study.

This website brings together my classroom experience, tutoring provision, and carefully designed learning resources to support students from KS3 through to GCSE and A level.
